[T.T] LOT.703 DENIM JACKET C.1920'S _ RAW INDIGO

Taiga Takahashi preferred store-brand denim over Levi’s, especially the Foremost brand by J.C. Penney. In the 1920s, they began creating denim similar to Levi’s but with their own unique designs. Takahashi collected these jeans, drawing inspiration from their efforts to differentiate from Levi’s, which led to the creation of his original denim.

Made from U.S. organic cotton, this 3/1 left-hand twill denim is woven slowly on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama, creating a rich, uneven texture. The indigo warp is mixed with sulfur dye, giving it a weathered greenish hue, while the custom yellowed weft yarn adds a timeworn effect.  

Finished with sanforized shrink-proofing, the jacket features "white ear" selvedge denim, with its distinctive finish on the cuffs and front. A patch pocket, minimal stitching, and a flat, straight-sleeve silhouette reflect its simple design. The custom iron buttons and back hardware are left uncoated for natural rusting over time. The signature leather patch is mud-dyed from Amami Oshima.
